Apparently subs somehow can have thier ammo store bugged in a big way. This sub has been operationing near Singapore since the war began. The only place it has rearmed is same. I just noticed today that it was carrying a exceptional number of torps, and...arnt those IJ torps?

Unfortunately this is the kind of thing we can not trace unless there is a save just before the value went bad. Do you have such a save?

I can send you a save that still has this sub with the exceptional load of torps, when it happened I have no idea to be honest. I didnt look at that particular sub for a few turns because she was tasked with interdicting the strait by singapore, thus requiring little management.

As I said however the game still displays her with this ordnance. I Sent her to Singapore, disbanded, and even tried to send her to the yard in the event this would fix the problem. It didnt, she still shows this ordnance loadout.

If you wish I will most certainly send you my current save.

Attach a save so we can check that it is not a display issue.

Well, it's not a display issue. The weapon number for slot number 1 has been fubaricated. Nothing in the save to indicate how or why.

If you (or anyone else) see this again, please try and isolate the circumstances and post a save.

Best I can do for now, sorry.

This is a copy of a PM I sent Don Bowen.

Hello Don,

I think I know why the sub rearm bug is happening. I had it happen again. It appears when the dutch subs go into the yards for repairs in Singapore they can bug out like this.

My realisation of this was the following, I put another dutch sub in the yards with damage, I believe both of the subs that bugged had a foreward tube damaged, when repaired it bugs the ammo of that tube.

Attached is a screen shot of the second bug, so to reproduce I suggest damaging a dutch subs tube or tubes, put it into the Singapore yard and see what happens. I am not sure if this will happen in every repair yard, since my experience has been limited to the Singapore yard.

Ah that I cannot do, as I dont save each turn, I overwrite. As I mentioned it appears you can duplicate this by damaging the tubes of a dutch sub, then put it into the singapore yards for repairs, im not sure if it only bugs the foreward tube etc but surely you all can edited the state of a sub, IE damage the tubes and put it into the yards for repairs cant you?

At any rate the bug I believe is caused by this, IS the cause a dutch sub in a british port? or any sub with any tube damage ive no idea but then again thats why you all get the big bucks ;]

We suspect the same thing, but would like to test. Unfortunately making up a situation results in what we think was wrong. Saves frequently point out how wrong we are.

Do you have a sub-directory in your save folder called auto save?

Afraid not, its only has the PWS and text files, no subdirectory in the save folder. One of the PWS files is the autosave by turn, I poked about and do not see a subfolder however dedicated to autosaves.
