Me and Chernobyl

those of you who are old enough probably remember Chernobyl, but for those who don't know what it was, it was when a nucular power plant in southern Ukraine melted down, spreading radiation and nasty pollution over most of Europe.
Friday is the 16th aniversary of it.
Sunday is my 16th birthday.
interesting, eh? born 2 days after Chernobyl...

OK, so all i know about it was a *Very* old Nova episode taht I can't remember and a little bit off a page about Chernobyl that was probably somewhat inaccurate...
but it did spread quite a ways, didn't it?

Unfortunately, this event was not well publicized in the U.S. We know very little about it. Of course, our media hides lots of stuff from us. For our own good so they tell us. We hardly know what happened at 3 mile Island. How should we know what happens in Chernobyl.
