OK, I do have my saves so if you need it let me know where to send them.

Basically, I loaded up a replinishment TF and set it to follow a certain TF. It left Noumea and ended up 5 hexes out of Tulagi in 1 turn with horrible damage done to it. I get the feeling something went terribly wrong here.

The issue is that a TF set to follow another TF will teleport to the destination of the followed TF upon arrival of the followed TF. Already addressed.
