Hi-... the "TFXXX retreating in face of air/surface threat?" If so, how?
I'm trying to get AS,AV, etc out of the Philippines and keep running to enemy forces.
Thanks, Hugh Browne

Addressed directly in patch 1.
For now, use a brave commander, set direct route, and hope the enemy cooperates.

I've found it to be quite useful sor far against the AI ( [;)] ) - I find that I get "extra" moves out of my TFs this way. For example, I sent the transports in HK out towards the Philippines, and they did their usual slow-boat thing. Then they started to detect Japanese planes and ships, and they moved two or three more times, and two or three more hexes - all in the direction that I wanted, and in the same turn - thus more than doubling their movement! [:D]
I also had a small cruiser TF moved a half dozen hexes away from a big Japanese BB/CA TF that would have turned my TF into plankton if they had met.
Okay, this isn't representing "reality" well, but I'm certain that the Devs will tone it down a bit in later patches.

Don-Thanks, will do. BTW, Is the patch good for the 27th? I seem to recall a schedule that first patch would be out 30 days after game release to public. HB.

I'm just a peon. The pee-offs make those decisions.
