'Canal Scenario Issues

I started playing the Guadalcanal scenario the other day: historical first turn, took the Canal, got into a carrier battle w/the IJN and lost a CV; its planes landed on the airstrip at Lunga and managed half a dozen sorties afterwards despite the fact I had zero air support on the base!

So who was refueling and re-arming these planes?

Also noted that any damaged AC detached from the parent flight for repairs doesn't auto rejoin the main unit as in UV.

My only experience w/this game comes from UV where Noumea is described in the manual as "a cornicopea of supplies," but in AE, I am often short of both supplies and fuel on this strategic base. And though production is turned-off for this scenario, I can't find the auto-convoy option, or is that disabled as well?

And then there's the issue of not being able to get any Aussies to load onto transports to reinforce PM.

The planes were refueled by the walking wounded.  Supply points expended for AvGas and bullets.  You'll suffer heavier losses in damaged and under maintained airframes but once you get support there it will start to repair the planes.

To rejoin the groups you may have to transfer the planes onto the carrier to get them to merge.

I use Continuous Supply.  Setup your supply run that you want to maintain and then click once on the Human Control and it will turn in to a computer controlled supply run.

The Aussie load problem is the task force selection.  If you select Transport the units have to be in strategic move mode.  Amphibious Transport loads units in combat mode.  Amphib load is less efficient in utilizing space and loads three days supplies.  From what I've seen, you want amphib TF to go to port size three or less.  You also have to be careful for shipsize.  Big ships can't dock at small ports.

Tnx; I didn't recall seeing any of this in the manual.
