Help me understand why it appears that PT boats can't be in any kind of TF except PT boats? In WitP Classic I would form a TF with PT boats I needed to move a distance with ships that could provide fuel on a long journey. Now, that doesn't seem possible. Any suggestions from the studio audience?

Did you try Escort mission ? Not sure if it would work, but it may.

If you want to move PTs long distances, use the Return to Pool function. Just return them to the pool in their current base (ship screen, lower right). Base must be of certain size and "safe" (no enemy aircraft around, etc). You can them buy them back from the pool (after a delay) at some other location.
This emulates preparing them for loading, loading on a ship, being transported to the desired location, unloading, and getting ready for service.
Neither WITP nor AE has the ability for a ship to be carried by a ship.

OK, that's new to me. Thanks for the heads up. I wouldn't have found that because I didn't know what to search on. Thanks.
