10 roving PT encounter KB on the high seas(they started in the adjacent hex). Several replays have generally the same results. PTs do nothing and 1-3 PTs sunk in 2 successive engagements as KB followed them 1 hex or was going that way.
CA Houston,CL Boise another CL and 9DD hit BB Hyuga, CA Mikuma,2DD nr Davao. Houston tf loses every time though the jap CA and BB get a bit shot up. Split the Houston SAG into 2 TFs and it results in more damage for both sides ultimately though nothing was sunk - just lots of damage both sides. All the encounters looked reasonable.
Raced the Houston TF to Legaspi to see how an amphib intercept would pan out. Covering jap CL TF intercepted and won the engagement sinking a DD. Betty's sank Houston with torpedoes afterwards All fine.
Did notice 1 problem. Houston TF intercepted a transport TF after the CL encounter in daylight at 30,000' and the tf was able to elude the SAG. Weather was not poor.
Manila escapees with 4DD,3 PG,2AM,1AVP intercepted a second transport TF off Brunei. Same story at 30,000'. It escaped with no damage. Split this TF and tried the intercept with 4 fast DD only. Same escape happened.
Are the allies able to do proper transport intercepts in daylight? Takes me a while to let my GC turn play through and I have only these few examples to go by thus far. Another jap BB TF was able to hammer my AKLs trying to drag some inf out of Rabaul(sank all 4 ships as they arrived) and I tried a variant of this leaving a CL and xAP in Rabaul - they died too so if there is an issue it looks to be purely an allied one.
All in all, things look pretty bug free. Even this anomaly is too small a sample to identify as a problem yet. Just reporting it in case others notice the same thing.
Oh, and tell the AI guy to stop feeding the KB pilots stay awake pills. They just hit PH for the 4th day - they just keep coming and coming and....
