Supply usage

I have been running some tests on supply usage by LCUs and would like to share some results. I have tried to be a as thorough as possible, this means I am fairly confident in my conclusions, but unfortunately this also means I haven't been able to test a whole lot yet.
The main result is that almost nothing has an impact on supply usage. If a unit is not moving and out of contact with the enemy (+ not taking replacements), then the supply needed is the approximate supply used over a month. The exact supply usage per day is : Supply required/30, rounded up. There was only one factor that managed to mess up that calculation and that is insufficient supply, this lowers supply usage, but of course has many negative effects.
This of course isn't really interesting, so the only reason I even post this is that these results go against what I am reading in many AARs. There many people put units on rest in China to save supplies, but this doesn't work. (Though it would help with improving morale faster). What might help in China is putting units that you won't be using away from supply sources so their disabled units come back slower, as disabled devices only use half the supplies that a normal device uses.
