Where is the tutorial?

Hello All
Just got my copy of the game.
I have not played the original version and now stand before this massive array of icons with no idea of how to best begin. The manual mentions a tutorial document. But I have only recieved One Editor Doc and 2 Versions of the Game Manual (Ebook/Light).
This will be the deepest strategy game I have yet to sink my teeth into. So I desperately need a breadcrum path to lead me trough the besics - at least a few pointers on how to begin apart from the obvious start with the smallest scenario.
What am I missing?? Where can I find the tutorial mentioned in the manual?
