Okay, a small patch to Beta 3 to fix a few crash issues introduced by the new sim speed optimization code.

So, no problems so far?

There seems to be a problem with promoting pitchers in the minors.  If you promote a pitcher from a human controlled team, the game freezes and then returns to the intro screen.  The pitcher will appear on the modify team screen at the bottom left but does not appear in the rotation part on the right.

I just tried this, and had no problem promoting the pitcher, visiting the roster, and demoting him back to the minors. I also clicked on a major league pitcher, demoted him, and then brought him back. It worked flawlessly.

Dickpierce, are you using Vista?

If you click on the player in the minors and promote him from his card, it works fine.  However, if you hit the promotote to majors button the game ends.

Why would you do this without clicking on the player first? PS does follow a certain order of common-sense usage protocols, so yeah, I'm not surprised you crashed the game.

I just did so, and it worked perfectly. Dick, I am NOT accusing you of anything. Lighten up, please. Perhaps Shaun needs to include a few more "move not allowed" pop-ups.

I CAN promote a player, but once I try to continue the games, a warning pop-up will appear stating that my rosters are invalid. This will take me back to the roster page.

How is that move not allowed????

You're misunderstanding me. What exactly are you doing? What move is crashing the game? Did you run the debug.exe and send the association to Shaun?

Ok.  One last time. 
 
Go to Modify Roster screen
Hit the Show Minors button
Highlight a pitcher

Did this. No crash. Worked fine. As I said, close the program, reopen the program with the debug.exe, and retrace your steps. After it crashes, you will get instructions to send your association to Shaun.

Using fictional 40 team association.  Ran debug and sent instructions to Shaun.

I fail to understand this. I'm using the latest beta patch, and I'm not encountering this issue.

Yep, that's a bug. Just fixed it this morning. All the performance/sim speed work I did has had a little bit of a negative impact on stability in the short term, but I'll have them all shaken out with the next beta.
