You have to wait one day, for turn resolution.

Resizing an air unit to fit the ship it's on. Works for carrier air units as well as floatplanes.

And the base needs to have, I think, 20,000 supplies.

A little gamey, but you can use this to expand the small size of the IJN floatplanes at start. For example, there is a 4-plane Jake unit at Truk at start; load it onto AV Kamoi, set to RESIZE, wait a turn, take it off, BINGO, 9-plane max unit. Do with that what you will.
It's probably debateble if it's gamey, the IJN floatplanes are much much fewer in AE than WITP, maybe this is the reason, who knows.
I loaded the small KATE and VAL LB units onto Taiyo as an experiment vs. AI, they didn't expand however. Ship was docked at Hiroshima, so I don't think supplies were an issue.

Thanks for the hin, Q-Ball!
How could this be gamey as the Jap player still has to build every plane used?
