landing troops on island base

How do I get troops on an island base with no port established yet? Do I have to have anphib. TF in order to offload troops?

Yes, you must use an amphib TF...and unless you want to wait forever for it to unload and unload everything, be sure to use AP's or AK's, not xAP's or xAK's
