Hi,
wierd thing about AC capacity on CS Chitose:
Max AC 24/ used 16. Why 16?
It has 12 Petes and 3 Jakes, 12+3=15 ?
If you calculate reserves into used slots it doesnt add up also since there are 5 spare planes wich would be 20 used slots with active ones. So where does the number 16 come from???

Have any of those units got reserve AC?

Check the individual air groups. One of them probably has an aircraft in reserve.

Maybe i didnt make myself clear enough, sorry.
Both have reserves but their total reserves are 5 wich again doesnt add up.
Solo planes without counting reserves is 15.
Active + reserves is 20.
None of the above give 16

I only of 4 of the 5 reserve planes are considering reserve, and those reserve planes are not counted.
Are any of those reserve planes damaged or in maintenance? Because then it seems they are not counted as reserve but as active planes.

K that was confusing.
After stripping all reserves plane count is 15. It doesnt matter if I had 1 plane in reserve or 6 planes, 3 in each group, it allways adds 1 plane to used slots if u have reserves in any squad.
Is this suposed to be like that or 1 reserve is suposed to use 1 plane slot?

I think I know what he's asking. That is why don't the air groups fill the CS to capacity.
The answer is that they are based on what the ships historically carried, not the max potential. So you will see ships with air groups that don't fill up all the available space on the ship.

Nope Shark, he's asking why all the reserve planes put together seem to account for only one plane slot (which sounds weird anyway - I mean they may be suspended to the ceiling, still why would it count only 1 plane slot if you have 1 reserve plane or half a dozen of them?)
Poor Streptotok, you're a long way from home [:D] [;)]

I've seen this on an IJN cruiser as well, haven't had a chance to publish a bug report. Don't remember which CA, but it has a 2 plane squad and a 3 plane squad, and a capacity of 5. When I put reserves into both, it claimed the CA was overloaded as 5/6. I assume that meant planes weren't flying (I transfered the smaller unit off to prevent this)
