Glad to hear that! May I reiterate my old question about system requirements? Will 512 mb be sufficient to play decently?

Now that we are nearing the end, I think some sort of award needs to be presented to Hard Sarge. If I'm not mistaken, he is winding up the longest running pre-product support forum in Matix's illustrious history. He has fended off flames and jibes like a master ninja and is worthy of recognition. I can't remember the exact date that the Talonsoft aquisition was first announced in this forum, but I am relatively certain that such an award would be legit.
What a fantastic job you've done!
Now let's all play.

Thank you, I think
but to be honest, there are other projects that ran, or are still running that are older then ours
and to be honest, they opened up the puplic forum way too early, most games are being worked on for at least a year or more, before the rummers even start, we had a forum, before we even had the code in our hands

Does the "other stuff" include the system requirements as well?

I would just be guessing, Harley would need to answer, he been busy, i will look to see what was the lowest from the testers (but I have had 3 computers during this, 4 with my laptop)

2Ghz Processor
64mb 3d gfx card (though it will run on less...)
512 MB RAM
2gb HDD space (the saves are huge now - 13+ mb each, so nearly 1300mb of saves across both games.
Windows XP with Service Pack 2
DirectX 9.0c
this is from a while back
3 off the testers had a 512 MB computer
saves a much smaller now
I have a Quad Core and have to play with the Affity setting now
on my Duel Core and single core it ran fine
it runs great on my Vista 64 laptop
one of the testers tried it with windows 7 and said it ran good, no issues
with that though, I would turn off target Icons, night, explosions (maybe Aircraft, I normally use the line system, as I am used to it, but it does the plane art can slow down the computer if it does not have enough goodies)
AND to be honest, alot of stuff can be going on in this game, so unless you can handle it, I would say most people may want to turn off night, and depending, turn off Target Icons/use F2 when the raids begin)
sorry for the delay, I had forgotten Harley had already posted this

Will the affinity setting be built into the game or will you have to set it up via command line switches?

I am not sure, Matrix said there were going to look at that, and then Harley said he would see what he could find out, so am not sure if it is going to be part of the code or not
what I do, is alt tab out, then Ctrl-Alt-Del, bring up where the procresses are, right click on the BTR Exe, and it brings up a menu, I set it to high and check the settings to 4 cores, and it runs nice
hopefully we can get that hooked up, but as of right now, I am not sure what is happening along those lines
Will the affinity setting be built into the game or will you have to set it up via command line switches?

Yes, Sarge I was sincere even though after reading my post it does seem laced with irony. My intent was truly to recognize your efforts.

Hey Sarge,
I have:
1.8GHZ AMD Chip
512MB Nvidea 7800 Graphics card
2GB Ram
Windows XP Service Pack 3
dx 9.0c updated just a couple weeks ago.
Am I going to have any problems running this? Sorry I am no computer wiz and not sure how critical the speed of my chipset is.
Later,
kayBay

I think if you can run flight sims on that, you should be okay, simming normally takes more computer then war games
