CTD - Black Screen Lockup 1.0.1.1804
Posted: Sat Sep 12, 2009 10:56 am
Similar to what others have reported, I recently patched up from the 1803c Beta to the official patch. The game reported the update was successful, but during the execution phase, it locked up on a black screen. I had to restart to get out of it. I did not change any switch settings or game settings prior to running the updated turn. Attached is the preturn save.
EDIT: The lockup occurs during the "Routine Air Operations" phase, specifically during "Setting CAP over objectives" while the screen is centered just east of Christmas Island. Interestingly, my game went through a full "Routine Air Operations" (including the message "Routine Air Operations Complete" and then began a second routine air ops cycle. It was during this second cycle that the game locked up. I've re-run the turn three times now and it's happened each time.
EDIT2: My system (old as it is) is a Dell 8400 Intel Pentium (R) 4 CPU, 3.00 GHz. Running Windows XP Service Pack 3. Had no problems handling WITP or WITP-AE until this most recent patch.
