Yes, through a combination of some avoidable mistakes/oversights on my part, and excellent play on PH's part, that was a much bloodier affair for the Austrians than it should have been.
Of the Prussian losses, 3 battalions and 1 squadron are captured and 1 battalion disbanded and fled (for a total of about 1900 men, roughly).
1 Austrian battalion was captured (400 men), and some of their losses are from fleeing units, but that barely diminishes the huge disparity in actual casualties brought about by a most tenacious Prussian defense.
(Numbers could be off, since I can't reload the last turn and check...

I will send you next HNM PBEM file and you can see exactly unit strengh. I can't say I do the best I can but I admit in last turn I couldn't say a word. Your manoeuvres were masterfull.
Two Austrians battalions were surrender I think. If I were you I would wait for more units before frontal attack or made flank march by partofmy unit, while artillery would made their job.

Thanks. Was a good learning experience for me, I was overconfident and didn't have a contigency plan, and paid the price.
However, while I, with a bit of help from your Hussars, completely botched the frontal attack, I still think it's possible to win as the Austrians with just Macquire's troops.

Yes I think that too! If you want I can show you, of course you should be the Prussians.

Sure. I'm up for another game, and for being schooled some more.[8D]
