Im just wondering what the effects would be to do nothing (AS JAPAN PLAYER) to your Industry or production and just played. Would it be 'Historical'? Would it crash? Does the AI make adjustments to the economy? (if playing as the allies). Im sure someone has played computer vs computer. How did that come out? [&:]

Would it be historical?  *Shrug*

I do know that Kates were produced and that if you do nothing, no Kates will be produced.  The Kate factory starts the war at 0 production.

Im just afraid after reading many posts that the majority is trying to do to much and is it really needed? A fine balance is needed I suppose but what is that elusive balance. Thanks for the reply Mike, I think your King of the hill when it comes to the Jap side of things.[&o]

Thanks Hanzberger.  The only recommendation I'd give is to make sure and keep as good a flow of resources and oil back to the Home Islands as possible and do things slowly.  Changing production too quickly has been the bane of many Japanese players.  It'll suck your supply dry and then your offense comes to a screeching halt.  There are a lot of turns in this game.  You don't have to do everything on day 1.  Keep track of your important commodities.  You'll see most of the important ones in the industry screen on the intel page.  If they are going up, you're doing good.

What happens if you turn Japanese production "off" in the editor? Do you then get historical production?
