Number of Missions

As I continue to see-saw concerning buying this game, I'm wondering how many missions are in a campaign....Is it an immersive experience like PG with a large number of missions, and the ability to branch off and select your next mission (ala' Yugoslavia or North Africa in PG) or is it short and linear?

We list the missions in each campaign as well as the separate missions that are provided as independent scenarios. The campaigns are linear, but with the usual PG-style formulation of different victory grades that reward the player more based on completing the scenario more quickly.

OK Eric, thanks..I stupidly thought that the city names were simply the overall objective targets, I failed to realize that they are in fact the missions....
Well after much thought, I'll be picking this one up once the first patch/update has been released.....
