Actually, their air groups consisted of 8 float planes and 14 D4Ys, which were catapult-launched and landed on carriers or land bases.

Historically, the Airgroup was the 634 Ku (Kokutai). It was supposed to have a total of 22 Aichi E16A1 and 22 Yokosuka D4Y1 split evenly on both converted BBs. In fact, 634 Ku was subsequently dispatched to fight in the Philippines where its planes were virtually all destroyed. Therefore for Sho-Go, Ise and Hyuga did'nt carry any planes.

apult-launched and
First, you can't land float planes on carriers![8|]
Second, the both the battleships Ise & Hyuga have a capacity of 3 float planes in 1941, not 22 plus!
It's not historical, it's a database error!
