In the years playing WitP never had this happen. 1940 Campaign and KB crusing around Pearl and launching strikes for 3 days finally on Dec 10 ran into an aggressive Wolfpack CO with 3 boats and Kaga goes to the bottom. One for us Allied AI players[:D]

Better hope thats a genuine sinking before going and bragging about it. AE now has alot better FOW and even if you hit with just one TT it can show up in the sunk ship list only later to be removed as the Kaga is sending planes out to sink your CV becasue you thought the KB was down a ship.[:-]

Admiral Nagumo was worried about American subs during the pearl harbor raid.
That was one of the reasons I believe he didnt stick around too long.

Nagumo was paranoid about the USN Carriers, the Battleships, and the Submarines. Oh I forgot the Land Based Airpower on the Hawaiian Islands also, there wasn’t much Nagumo wasn’t worried about. Rumor also has it he was worried that about listening to Radio Honolulu as KB approached Pearl Harbor, thought it might give away their position. [;)]

Nagumo was a genuinely doughty opponent but he was over-cautious, particularly when it really mattered (ie over not sending the 3rd wave against Pearl, or at Midway which he ended up fighting off balance despite having overwhelming advantages

I would like to say thet in AE if there was a Midway scn I do not see the Japs winning that - ever ( except by luck)
In AE these big air units are going to come easily through the CAP .
I think thet when a Midway scn comes out there will be a lot of moaning.
