Quick dual-core question

I have a 3.4 MHz P4. Since hyperthreading is enabled, XP thinks I have two processors.

Should I use the -cpu2 switch in my command line or not? Will it matter?

Thanks.

You can use -cpu1 or -cpu2.  The number is which core the game should use, not the numbers of processors you have.  All menues, graphics, etc. should be displaying quickly with very little perceptible delay.  If you are seeing any delays, one of the command line switches for multi cores would probably help.  In the end it's a machine by machine basis.

Thanks Bill,

I had left it as default and it never seemed "slow", so I won't mess with it.  I was just wondering in the case of the virtual world.

Mundy, I have a 3GHz P4 with Hyperthreading enabled.
Using the -cpu2 switch gives an intial loading time ("Setting Sail!" "Loading") of about 40 seconds, while without the switch loading needs about the same time.
No discernable difference during game play.
Doesn't matter if I use -cpu1 or -cpu2.
That all applies to the latest version with the latest patch 1.0.1.1084e (was different before the patch).
To me it looks like your decision to not mess with the switches makes sense.
