Soviet Tank Corps

I am playing a game of possumv4 and Soviet Mech Corps (you know the ones that move more than two spots) showed up in June of 1942. Is this normal? Just surprised to see it. Thanks.

It is normal in Possum although it is slightly later in standard Wir I think. The mechanized cavalry corps are also unique to possum.
