I'm new to pbem with this game..just playing my first opening turns. Am I not supposed to see my opponent's offensive phases? Or, have I missed something. Unless my battle line is always contiguous, it may prove difficult to tell when I've lost a corps.

One of the major weaknesses in the game. To review the action, use the Util - Axis Review choice, for either side, If you are the Axis player, then sometimes you must identify the combat areas from this display - white boxes, triangles have some meaning - and then switch to So Review on the same hexes to see what actually happened. A real pain, and it does not always work for the Axis - the Soviet side is not as bad.
