In Praise of Early Draft Entry

For my new 1946 association, I turned early entry ON, and the results look good. See my locker report for lists of the top POT pitchers/hitters. The thing is, the 1946-51 period was a golden age for introducing outstanding young players, including many future Hall of Famers. So, in 1946, Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Don Newcombe, Richie Ashburn, Robin Roberts, Larry Doby, Vic Wertz, Nellie Fox et al are already populating major league rosters. At this rate, Mays and Mantle could appear in the amateur draft as early as 1948 or 1949.

I HOPE this prevents the AI GMs from drafting many scrubs in successive seasons, but I'll have to wait and see. In any case, I seem to have chosen an excellent starting point, as the talent pool is extraordinary.
