This is one of 3 scenarios about Landeshut battles.
It is 13th August 1757 combat.
I wish all players good fun.

Going to spend most of today out of town, but I'll give it a go when I get back. [8D]

Played it a couple of times now, and it's a refreshing change from having superior Prussian troops. Many rallypoints and brittle morale for most units allows for a lot of back-and-forth action.

I ran into a couple of issues though, which are probably engine- and not scenario-related:

#1 - amphibious cavalry. The Austrian hussars pulled off a disengage move as indicated by the arrow, i.e. across impassable terrain afaics.

#2 - the inept AI opening turn of assured self-destruction. This is also the explanation for why in the first image, it's only turn 6 and the Austrians are virtually destroyed. Leaving your guns open and exposing one battalion to immediate capture isn't exactly a good way to get started, and the AI has done this exact move several times now that I've started the scenario. :x

(The AI also seems unable to deploy into skirmish formation in situations where that'd be a clear advantage...)

I played this once last night and experienced the exact same thing, the Austrian Cav retreating over prohibited terrain. I played the Prussians VS Austrian AI and found this very enjoyable. I started by trying to outflank the Austrian right wing, a move the AI prevented and I ended up defending on this side of the battlefield until towards the end of the game. On the Austrian left the Art was not left wide open but I did, nonetheless, destroy the Art and take the victory hex on this side of the map. The AI put in a few counter attacks but by games end I had a Decisive victory. Thanks for another great scenario.

I see that was few problems with gameplay. Try this one ...
Should be better

Thank you. With this deployment, the AI seems to do better - probably because the Prussians go first much more often now, and once they start their advance, the AI is much less likely to deliberately expose its flanks.
