Device question: snorkel

What would be the best way to simulate a snorkel? I guess in game terms it should reduce the detection level?

I set mine up as a radar jammer. Makes sense that way in that the snorkel was a way to help reduce the chance of detection.

Yes that would make sense. But is this kind of device really working for ships?
It may be someone had an ELINT plane in mind.

My device will have a much greater range (I can´t see why range should be limited for a passive jammer) and will have a little more effect. At least the german version which seems to be your model too.
(By the way, the FuG should be named "Hohentwiel" - the name of a mountain).
