I have the Beta 1.6 patch....do I need to install the official patch or is the same thing?

I am in the middle of a game.

shouldn't interfere with the game, certainly mine carried on seamlessly. Does reduce the impact of some weather systems (sunshine in Russia can happen) and enables you to replenish your fighter squadrons to the full 10.

Your current game from beta 1.6 should work after installing official 1.6.

You don't need anything There are some fixes in official 1.6 of things reported by players who were using beta 1.6, but if nothing bothers you in beta then you don't need official (unless I'm missing something).

My crashing problem with naval battles has gone away with the official 1.6 update. I would finish your current game then update, if you are not having issues.

If you do decide to go with the official patch, I recommend you perform a clean install. When it became available I just overwrote the revised beta. Then while playing the USSR I got the problem with the bad weather covering almost all of Russia again.
