Invading India through Burma

Hi guys,

I am wondering whether a full fledged invasion into India from Burma with around 2500-3000 AV as the Japanese is possible. I am aware that supply is a serious problem, but would combining most of your air transport power be effective? Also, what would be the best avenue of advance?

I figure if you establish air superiority, concentrate your forces onto one target, a breakthrough may be possible. I am open to alternative thoughts, though. Particularly from those that actually tried it.

Your offense will probably get bogged down near Chittagong and overland near the back door. [8|] [X(]

As always, "it depends". If your opponent is the AI it would be slow, but you could probably make it work. If you are going against a human, he'll just wait until your units are bogged down in the mountains or jungle and land behind you to cut off supply.

I have been hoping the AI will try it. I doubt a sane human would against a semi-competent Allied player.

India ain't what it was in WITP. Better plan on bringing lots and lots of armor and extra artillery. Might want to have extra planes to deal with his Hurricanes too.
