Scenario Selections

Can anybody help with a little more info on some of the scenarios to be included in UV? The ones I'm interested in are the longer campaigns. One of my best friends (and in this game, sworn enemy) and I want to play one of the long scenarios on a "day and date" basis, 60 years to the day after the original events. (I.e. we play the events of June 15, 1942 on June 15, 2002.) We're want to get a feel for how the campaign felt to the participants regarding the passage of time.

I found the screenshot at the WarfareHQ review that shows the list of scenarios.

The ones we're interested in are:

014 Hard Road Ahead: 1 Aug 42 - 31 Dec 1943
015 Clash of Titans: 1 Jul 42 - 31 Dec 1943
016 Yamamoto's Prophecy: 1 Jun 42 - 31 Dec 1943
017 Decision in the South Pacific: 1 May 42 - 31 Dec 1943

I'm specifically curious about the assumptions going into these - Midway, No Midway, Randomized Midway.

Actually, it would be even neater if Matrix would post the descriptions for these (or even all) just to give us all an idea about the various scenarios choices. Other people might be in the same boat, er, ship, regarding scenario selection.

After all, they do have my money. :) And it's not like they're doing anything but waiting for a delivery from the disk duplicators! :D

14) Total historical set-up starting with US about to invade Guadalcanal.

15) Hypothetical - Assumes no Midway, no Coral Sea battle, and that the Japanese have done well expanding into the South Pacific, capturing Guadalcanal and all of New Guinea. 6 IJN and 4 USN fleet carriers are already committed to the South Pacific area.

16) Historical set-up that assumes Midway is about to happen and it assumes a historical Midway outcome. It's a way to start earlier than August but after Coral Sea and keeping the historical Midway outcome.

17) Hypothetical - Assumes no Midway. Starts with historical set-up in South Pacific but accelerates Japanese ground unit commitment to the South Pacific. All carriers for both sides are available to be committed to the South Pacific (usually they start arriving in June).

A little project call War In The Pacific comes to mind. I'd rather they spend their precious resources delivering the game I REALLY want than posting pretty pictures or more detail on the website. But that is just me, I am silly that way. :p

Thank you Joel...
