Im playing the long 44 scenario as the allies and have come across something peculiar. During RAF nite raids german nite fighters crash in huge amounts--60-100 planes just outright crash while flying to intercept.

I have not seen this during the 43 scenario so im wondering if this is some kind of bug. The planes are always the BF-110's and a smaller number of Ju-88's. All the crashes occur before any combat has taken place and in decent weather.

are you flying elint/ecm missions?

there was an old bug that caused this, I thought I'd nailed it by setting intercepts to a minimum alt of 500 feet. Seems the alt may be getting set somewhere else. [:@] You have more ecm planes in the 44 scenario, which may be why you are seeing it...

I played original BTR and experienced this so I've been looking out for it. I'm playing allies v AI 1943 campaign in new game and have seen it once, when a Ju 88 NF gruppe wiped itself out at 0 ft. Happened in Dec 43, if it helps.

Love what you've done with the game - it's a massive improvement in realism and reliability.

yeah i am and the crashes start once the ecm missions launch. Funny how it has not happened in the 43 scenario as im running ecm missons there too.
