Control of Economy

I will probably have a house rule that the PP levels of each major should be halved four times a year. This to prevent from unrealistic savings. This will force players to use their economy instead of just saving with the object to avoid upkeep costs. At the same time, they can't buy too much, thus the upkeep will put them on negative PP level with no possibility to replace losses.

Suggestions?

pkpundit is partly correct. Control over economy with awareness will definitely help towards controlling population. But any mount of economic recovery will not be sufficient if population is also not controlled. To create infrastructure at the rate of increase in population will be very difficult. With the life expectancy going up, wtih good medical facilities, the population increase can only becontained with control on births. So both should go on simultaneously.
