I have a very simple question I hope/know you guys here can help me with. I LOVE the sound of this games tactical battles and I like the sound of dealing with a nations diplomacy.
I would be BORED by running a nations economy.

Therefore, my question is how much running of an economy does one have to do in this game if one uses the simple economy rules?

Simple economy is very simple. You barely have to do anything.
