When do R&D aircraft enter service?

It's the 1943 campaign, and I'm changing German production. How do I know what aircraft are available for immediate production? If I change a factory, will it result in immediate production or R&D aircraft? Right now, I'm looking at the order of battle screen and guessing when aircraft like the FW-190 D9 enter service by when the first reinforcements arrive.
