Playing Germans in 1940 I'm finding that a number of units are creating detachments which appear prefixed with "det-" and have a reduced morale to start with. Can anyone tell me why this happens, how to prevent it and if it can be reversed. I've tried putting units and their detachments together on the same field but they stay seperated.

You're using shuttle missions, which creates detachments.

Change the AC type on the -DET and they will merge back to the main unit. The -det will dissapear, the pilots will go home and the AC you change the -det to will not be consumed as the -det can't take them.

Did any of the shuttle problems get cleaned up, ie. -det-det's, etc.?

I havn't tried any, because I remember from the old TOH how it would "mess-up" a campaign further down the road.

I don't remember. It's still listed on my to-do list, so I'm guessing I didn't get to it.
