Another Naval Freeze Console out file

OK - this time I sent a fleet into the north atlantic as germany, using a 1940 campaign start. The Allies of course responded. A naval battle was fought, which froze the computer when end battle was clicked. console out file attached.

This naval freeze really needs to get priority for fixing, as the naval part of the game is quite important.

Further, I have some real issues with how the AI handles the Allied fleets. How can every ship the French and British have possibly respond to a small German fleet in the North Atlantic? And more, exactly how does a battleship attack a sub?

I really like the land portion of this game, but without the naval portion it's not working.

The naval unit are called groups because they include escorts, ie. destroyers, which have gone after your subs.

The French and British have a lot of ships, and they will be a real presence in the North Atlantic sea zones. It is a rough spot for KM ships.

Chuck

Thank you for clarifying about the groups. I believe there are still two issues:
1) The game freezing at the end of naval battles
2) Realistic fleet deployments by the AI.

I'll be happy if the first one gets fixed; I can live with the second, even though it makes historical events impossible to duplicate.

Mark,

I certainly agree that the freeze needs a fix. Try clicking around a bit with the mouse, as this has allowed the game to continue in some instances. I think the future versions of ToW may gain from the work on the Pacific game.
