How to exit a map on the Exit Hex

We've seen several posts on what to do & how to do it when attempting to exit a map at designated exit hexes. Several have said that loaded units must dismount and exit seperately in order for their "points" to be counted.

I've just completed a canned scenario with exit hexes - "Beg Pardon, Sir". I intentionally exited same units (ie, 3 tanks and 3 trucks) by parking them on the exit hex. The 1st with no riders, the 2nd with a 2 or 3 man squad aboard and a 3rd with a larger 6 to 8 man squad aboard.

All added up nicely. The empty vehicle acheived a certain point value flashed on the screen at the very end of the turn with a message similar to " panzer Mk IV exited the map for 290 points". The AFV with the small squad had a higher point total, presumably equal to the AFV + the squad. The squad, however, was not mentioned. The 3rd AFV with the large squad acheived a point total which was the highest and seemed correct for the added men. Again, no mention of the squad. The trucks provided a similar outcome.

So it seems that loaded units should remain on their mounts while parked in the exit hex, waiting for the next train out of platform 9 3/4 to Hogwarts. If nothing else, it allows for more room in the exit hex.

Got to go, there's my train! Mind the gap!!
