any idea why clouds would appear correctly in the small campaigns but in the large map there are none?

There is a setting to show clouds, it is on?

right, clouds on clouds off, either way, no clouds.. settings accessed either from start up or preferences button, odd that it works in the little maps but not the big opnes? any ideas?
 

even stranger, now clouds are on! lol
