Russian AT guns moving & attacking?

Post by Deadmoon »

I´ve played several scenarios and i find that the Soviet AT guns are able to move one hex and fire without being loaded on a transport, making them very effective.

German ones can´t even move a single hex without using their transports, making them essentially defensive units.

Why Soviet AT units could move and Germans ones not? Is this a bug?

Could you please specify some things:

-Could you activly use the ATG when playing the Russians or did the AI do this ?

-Which version did you play with ?

I think i experienced the AI doing something like you discribed with an artillery piece, but could not reproduce the effect.

Do you have a savegame where this occurs anytime ?

AI do that.

Last patch...

Yes, i have one. Please tell me an email adress and i would send to you.

BTW it would be nice if AT units could move just one hex and attack. It´s quite useless trying to use them to attack the enemy as they are very vulnerable when loaded and once you unload them, the enemy tanks have usually moved elsewhere. In defence they are also useless as they are always attacked by infantry and destroyed.
