Usually 2. The carabinier coys were often stripped from thier rgts and brigaded into composite elite rgts as the grenadier coys in the infantry were brigaded into bns of thier own.

The austrian cavalry regiment consisted during 7yw by 6 squadron and one grenadier/carabinier coy. Each squadron consisted by 2 coys (begin in 1751) so regiment have 13 coys including elite soldiers it was about 1015 men in 1756. (Ch. Duffy,The army of Maria Theresia) In 1762 the cavalry regiment were reduced to 850 men.
