A possible bug:

I load BoB40 data, resave without changing a single line, and all three Kgr100 Staffeln have lost their Knickebein navigational aids.

There is only one He-111H-4 bomber type in the database (without navigational aids), so I guess it must be something added somewhere in the group section.

Thanks for the editor.

I used it just for looking at the scenario files so far. The altitude performance graph is very interesting, would like to know exactly at what altitude is better performance of aircraft, there are no numbers on the x axis of the graph.

Hi Nick, many thanks to you and the creator of this tool.

One issue to report. On the BoB files it displays the German AA weapons intead of UK ones ( ie 88mm rather than 3.7 inch) . Figured out what it really meant, but no line for the machine guns ?

regards Otis

Otis, are you sure you mean BoB? There exists no 88mm Flak. Perhaps you saved mistakenly a loaded '43 or '44 Campaign as BoB Campaign?
My suggestions: make a restore of the changed .dat files and try it again.

Creeper

Hi Creeper,

should have specified that I was refering to the "calculate" total area.

Shows the numer of UK guns at a site on the left, but on the right the "Total" panel shows German weapon types.

Hi Otis,

Nick is currently in vacation, but i can provide you with a link to
EDBTR Editor V1.02, which is the newest release of the editor. I think, the
problem with the german weapon types in sheet "location" have been solved in
this edition.

I have try it and found no problems right now.
But please take my statement without any warranty ;-)

Thanks Creeper,

solved that problem.

The latest version take ages to load a set of files. Curious as to why that would be as the files are still the same size ?

In no way knocking this gem of a program.

regards Otis

Every new version of the editor is able to decode more and more of the unknown values in the .dat files.
So, it take a 'little bit' longer to load and handle the values with every new version.
On my computer system (Vista, Quad-Core, 4 GB RAM) the loading time is about 65-75 seconds.
But i know there are older computer systems who needs 3-6 minutes to load... :-/

Don't suppose a dev would comment on the "Height" values? :) I downloaded this just to check those out, since we have no info on altitude performance, power curves, etc.  Even if just to confirm that those 14 values are height, and that each one is X thousand feet, can at least see aircraft X doesn't like to be above 20k feet etc.  [;)][/align]

Thanks for the answer, i see, but i refer to made short scens (one week or less) only for PBEM where victory is a players option (for example fighter have 1 point of victory, medium bomber 3 ....) i refer for example a small scen with Malta battle or Marita/Merkur is only a dream because i see that the games isnt the modder paradise [:(]

PD: at least we have great graphic modders and with time we can see interesting variants of standar scens.
