release by Thanksgiving?

My company is making me take next week off and I have nothing important to do, don't tell me wife that though. Any chance I'll be playing Armada?
Otherwise, I may give Dragon Age a go, as I loved Baldur's Gate 1 & 2.
Thanks,
Bill

We are aiming for a release before Thanksgiving.

While I hope for today, it's not looking likely, given the time and Erik's statement. Now I'm thinking by the end of the week has always been a pretty nice bet! [:D]

It could be a week and one day from now according to Erik's statement. [:(] That would still be before T-Day.

Will we be able to download it immediately from Matrix while waiting for delivery of the boxed game?

If you choose "Physical shipment plus download" option, yes. The "PC physical shipment" option is usually the same price as the "Physical shipment plus download", so you win by downloading too.

Larry hit it right on the money. You can download ASAP when you buy the game and start playing before the physical shipment arrives.

I think you should get both. Armada looks great, and DAO IS great.[;)]
I'm certainly getting Armada.

I'm planning on getting both, but one may have to wait until Christmas. I'd rather get Armada first, as that is my favorite genre, but if it isn't out by the weekend it will have to wait a couple months.
I work with a guy who has played DAO a lot and he agrees that it is great, so hopefully they will both be worth the money.

Definitely looking forward to a good 4X experience. In my book, the last good 4X game was MOO2. BotF tried, but fell short.

Sword of the Stars is a good 4x game.
IMO the best one since MOO 2.

Disagree profoundly, but anyway... Let's get Armada!

I never could get into SoTS. And I have tried for many hours. It just lacks something...

Yes Terminus, but you DID say that the
last good 4X game was MOO3
so your opinion is questionable at best. [:D]
I really enjoyed/enjoy Sword of the Stars and I am hoping that Armada has an equally good space combat engine that is even more user-friendly than SotS (which can be a bit unfriendly by being too simplistic). I am also glad to see that Armada has a more robust colony development system than SotS (which was none, really, other than terraforming and a trade-production bar). What I really hope for Armada is that the races have the same unique character as the SotS races, something that always kept me coming back despite some quirks in the SotS gameplay.

Dragon Age is a very good game, enough so that I'm already on my second playthrough. [X(]
I'll definately be getting Armada as well.

Wow, how many hours did that take? I figure, with the amount of time I get to play without my kids around since I think this wouldn't be appropriate for 8 year olds to watch, it will take me 6 months to get through DAO.

LOL, I was thinking the same thing but without the 8 year olds. I'm retired and I still would not find the time. [;)]

D'OH! That was a typo. Corrected.
