Sorry if this should be obvious, but it's my first time playing this game with the latest patch. When I play, the conscript/volunteer/impressment buttons for a province are gone. I can't remember exactly what they were called, but they were the ones that would let you draft or recruit new brigades, or impress extra resources. Is that a hitch from running it through compatibility mode on Win7, or were those removed for this patch?

No, nothing like that. You must have chosen to turn off one of the "advanced" options ("Impressment," I think). Or maybe when installing the patch this was turned off. So, this is a simple matter of making a change on the opening screen.

Oops, now I feel silly. I didn't have the option checked. Thanks for pointing that out.

No biggie. In retrospect, it's not obvious that that button has an effect on raising both units and money/resources.
