I've read repeatedly that during the daylight phase the German twin engined interceptors constantly stay too long and get caught by Allied fighter sweeps coming in to cover a raids return leg. Could it not be possible to have the game SW issue orders to these squadrons recalling them once German radar detects the incoming fighter sweeps? It would seem logical that German ground control would alert these squadrons to stop their attacks and go home.

That's you, the player. You can order interceptors back to base anytime you choose, so when you see those pesky fighters coming across the channel do just that.
