Installing LV ovr 7.1

OK, just a suggestion to save frustration. Why don't you put a sticky thread up on how to install the LV megacampaign over SPWaW 7.1? I wasted over half an hour looking on the CD for a readme and on the forum for instructions before giving up and doing what I thought I remembered reading somewhere but couldn't remember where.
So here is what I did that worked. I uninstalled SPWaW 7.1 (sweating...)and installed everything anew from the CD, which installed both SPWaW 7.0 and the LV megacampaign. I then downloaded the SPWaW 7.1 patch and the LVMC patch 1 and installed them in that order. Everything seems to work well. I didn't download the patch 2 for LVMC yet because I undersand that its purpose is to make the campaign harder (I'll play a bit first to determine if I really need a harder campaign...).
And BTW, when I originally tried to install only the LVMC from the CD by clicking on the second line with that name, the computer always locked up and I had to alt-cntl-delete out to get control back.
I like the idea of having the computer choose my units for me as in LVMC, contrary to many this is the part I hate most about Steel Panthers. After all, commanders did not have a list of units to choose from before they went into battle, they took what was given to them. Thise who decided what units to use where not those who fought the battles...
Now besides keeping my wife content, I have to split my time this weekend over LVMC, Starships unlimited and Morrowind. Life is tough...
