Hi Folks
I was just wondering. In my Grand Campaign game as the Allies, I get Marine Regiments but thus far (Oct 42) no divisional HQ's. Are they supposed to fight as independent regiments or am I missing something? Do I have to have three regiments in the same hex for them to form a Division? Thanks!

If you take a look at a component unit of any larger unit, i.e. a Marine Regiment, there's a button called "Unit Organization" you can click. This shows you all the subunits you must bring into the same hex to build into the division.

However. I did notice that when I had all the marine regiments at PH I still did not get an option to create the division. This was during 42. Is there a time restirction?

Make sure they all are assigned to the same area-Pacific, South, etc.

Which division was it? The 2nd Division has four subunits, not three.

That happened to me until I gathered all the fragments. In my case a regiment I had brought from Bora Bora was still unloading at PH. The four units showed in the list, but some men were still on the ships. When they finished the division formed with no problem.

Yes, don't forget the unit of combat engineers along with the three regiments.
