Color Scheme

This post isn't about a technical issue or game play issue it's about the colors being used in the game. You see I'm color blind and I have difficulty seeing things because of the contrasting colors. For instance I didn't see the expenses number in the planetary screen because of the red numbers on the grey background. At least that's what the colors look like to me. Because I couldn't see my expenses on the planetary screen, I ended up building things that caused me to have a deficit. I can only see my expenditures in the finance screen. I know people like me (color blind) are a small minority but it would be nice if developers took colorblindness into consideration when developing color schemes.

Just out of curiosity have you tried changing the color/gamma/hue in your graphics driver (or screen?) settings incase you might be able to decrease the amount of red color on screen?

I'm not color blind and I can barely see the red on gray. I mean it's tough! If the red were a dark red then it would help. Or black on gray even. What it is now is almost impossible to see.

My wife is color blind. I'll have to ask her what she see's. I can understand how it would be rough for you though through what I go through with her sometimes. From time to time I have to tell her what certain signs in stores say because she can't see the lettering.
Have you thought of using your color scheme and setting it to Black and White? I know not all color blind people are color blind to the same extent.
