Hello,

When I attempt to fight a battle in real time, graphics go crazy. All kinds of pixelation, then a black battlefield screen (control panel on right visible, but no ships on battlefield); can click battle start and get messages. Attached dxdiag file, running vista64.

Some nvidia GPUs/Driver combos are experiencing problems with the default graphic settings.
Go into graphic settings, and lower all the sliders to the minimum setting as a stopgap measure until a patch comes through.
There are already a bunch of threads on this issue.

I somtimes get crash error during combat too. I use vista64 and nvidia gpu. 

Hopefully the combat crash fix will be showing up shortly. My Nvidia card seems to have the same problem.
