"On the other side of the galaxy" has extra meaning on the 1000x1000, very dense center map. Let your screen scroll from one side of the map to the other while imagining all the history taking place through out it. Some areas you may never even explore much. Then realize that it's just one strip of screen size across that map. There are several more areas like it on the map.

Of course, to imagine this game map and other similiar game maps as a full galaxy with the number of stars playable you have to imagine that each playable star represents, in general, the main or best star of all background/non playable stars in it's proximity.

Some might imagine the star map as a section of the galaxy but to me that feels less epic and odd when thinking that a section of the galaxy is isolated or has a barrier around it.

(Of course, we all know that a galaxy has billions of stars and the known universe has billions of galaxies.)

Hi Wade, Not to be off subject with Armada but I remember being totally amazed at Spore when I got to the space stage. Its like that is the closest thing to an actual "living" galaxy I have ever experienced and then you NEVER know what the heck you will find on some of those planets. I have not tried a a 1000x1000 galaxy in Armada yet, that sound HUGE! I wonder how many stars are in that size galaxy? I suppose I could load up a game with that size just to take a look, but I am afraid it will be too tempting to not start playing and if I were to start playing, I would get addicted. Not a good idea on a Thursday night since I have work at 7am. [:D]

The problem with a game that size is that after awhile, you won't be able to save it.
