Why did this game cost me $37.99 for DD when it is listed in Matrix Holiday special at $34.99?

Obvious first question is if you're a US customer. If not, exchange rate cost you $3.

There is also a charge for their guaranteed download service that might explain it. It assures that you will be able to download the game again if you need to for some length of time (forever?). Never signed up for it as I just burn a CD immediately after downloading and put the serial number on it. Check your receipt and see if that charge is on there.
