Not one good day of bombing weather.
I was doing well, but now I am at -2

well, that is the big killer in the game, weather is worse enemy then the LW for the Allies

but, depends on what weather you are willing to fly in, unless it is totally cloud covered, there is normally gaps in the weather

I dont bomb when it makes my units useless w low morale.
I think it is much harder playing the Allies

Hit the coastal belt with pinprick raids, try to run a major raid once a week, even if only to Amsterdam or Brussels.

Keep the Luftwaffe from resting too much, the weather hurts him as well.

BUT, I would like to see a weather forecast screen, I hate seeing 75% @ 500ft only to find it clearing in the afternoon, or even worse the opposite,

I think it is much harder playing the Allies

make some sort of OP rotation......keep pressing raids whenever it is possible......keep flying F/B missions and tactical and coastal missions whenever you think the weather is too bad....
The Allied need to keep up the pressure otherwise the German industry has a very high output....

for myself I consider weather up to 30 as good weather => raids/missions with everything that has a morale greater than 50
weather from 30 to 50 as usable weather - I fly missions with units with units with a morale better than 70.
weather from 50 to 69....harrassing raids (A/F, radar, coastal......)

BC does not need good weather over the target....it needs good and rested pathfinders....the rest wil bomb on their markers.....so use them hard and heavy

The weather will be bad quite often at the end of 1943. But I still launch my raids. The weather gets
better sometimes and some raids will be a success. But -2 is a pretty bad score- it should be
much higher.

You don't really need to be damaging targets at this point... February is when that can really start in earnest. You do need to get HEAVILY escorted raids up though so that you can shoot down LW interceptors. So missing a target is not a big deal. The problem is when the weather is so bad that the bombers take off without escort. You can minimize this problem by timing your escorts to launch at the same time as the bombers - relying on delayed escorts in bad weather is an iffy proposition.

You should be able to keep launching towards the N. Coast German cities and even the near edge of the Ruhr without too much risk, I think.

also, what is going on in the MED ?

when the weather is bad up in the north, the south should be simi decent ?

the 12th and MED can handle most of the targets in Italy, while the 15th has a lot of choices to go after in southern Germany or into the Axis Allied nations

if you are just sitting back, the LW is going to be getting pretty strong, rested and healthy (never a good thing)

also, you got to watch out for Sudden Death, -2 in SD is going to hurt, your AS score should balance that out, but your Te score is the only thing keeping you in the war right now (IIRC, you are going to need at least 10 points, to keep going once Jan rolls around, you really need a couple of Major BC raids, shortly)

The only thing good about this is the next turn comes quickly! [:'(]

With this weather, I send FB's and fighters @ 400ft to bomb and strafe any undefended or very lightly defended target along the coast. The LW will come up, but the clouds now act as a shield. A few follow-on sweeps at 11.0k sometimes will get lucky.

Plus, the LW has to land! Crash! Herr Schimdt is WIA 99!

I got to disagree, I don't think that it is not well modeled, the trouble is, the weather sucked

the whole idea of the 15th Airforce, was with the weather so bad in the North, the 15th would be able to fly everyday in down in Sunny Italy, and then, people found out, that, it wasn't so sunny down there every day, as they thought, and the 15th was grounded much more often they ever dreamed it could of been

just remember, the whole war, it was some of the worse weather seen in ages (the Germans used to wake up and look at the sky, if it was clear, they would say, oh, it is bombing weather)

Gen Patton, during the budge told his Army Chaplain to write a prayer, asking God for clear skies, so he could kill Germans (the sun came out, and what ever small chance the Germans had, was gone)

Mosquito fighter bombers are great against high value targets inside germany. Add a few P-51B/Mustang III as escorts and the target can be destroyed with minimal losses. There are also several target within heavy escort range e.g. that 40 capacity rubber plant north of the ruhr. You should be able to hit 2 high value target per week.
